TRAVEL:
The quaint Railway station of Baan Krut. Train: A solution for people with time. Enquiries to the station can be made in Thai by calling this number: 02 220 4334. Rapid trains leave from Hua Lampong station in Bangkok. Cars: Ban Krut is off the Phetchasem road, ( motorway 4 ). From Bangkok the easiest, and fastest way, is to join it from motorway 35. Once you reach the Ban Krut turn off, at the 382km road mark), turn left into it and keep on straight. About 9km down you will reach a railway line. This is Ban Krut town. Carry on straight over the line and at the T- junction turn right towards the beach. Once you have reached the sea go right, parallel and along the beach until you reach Baan Klang Aow resort. Then you’re there! Buses: Buses leave from the Southern Bus terminal, ( Sai-dai-mai) in Pin Klao, (pin-gao), Bangkok, about 4km south and over the river from the royal palace. The number 511 (11) air- conditioned bus will take you there from Sukhumvit, the World Trade centre and near Kao San road. Tickets may be obtained for the blue 1st class air- conditioned buses from the terminal to Ban Krut. The resort can arrange for you to be picked up from the bus stop with prior notice, or there are usually motorcycle taxis available.
